This Module will help you understand how visitation and spend trends change by selecting the date range and city or county where an event occurred.
The Event Insight Module is one of your Insight Modules in which a DV + Strategy POVs can be requested.
What is the Goal of this Module?
This module helps you have an easier way to see the impact of events on your destination with just a few clicks.
What Does This Module Tell Me?
The insights look at the change in selected insights compared to the average over the same days during the previous four weeks. The outcome can illustrate the impact of hosting an event on your community.
In this module, you will see:
- The impact of an event on visitation within an area of your destination
- The impact of an event on spending within an area of your destination
- Information on the visitors that were observed in the area during the event
Options:
Follow these steps to see an Event's Impact:
Step 1: Select the date range of when the event occurred.
Step 2: Look at how the visitor spend changed compared to the same time frame in the previous four weeks, paying attention to the sample size.
Step 3: Look at how your STR changed compared to the same time frame in the previous four weeks. NOTE: If you do not have STR, you will not see these insights in your module and will not see blank insights.
Step 4: Look at how visitors share of wallet compared to the same time frame in the previous four weeks as well as how it compared to resident spending.
Step 5: Look at top 5 origin markets for the event time frame as well as the change in those origin markets compared to the same time frame in the previous four weeks.
Step 6: Look at top resident origin cities during the event.
Step 7: Look at spending trends during the event compared to the same time frame in the previous four weeks.
Step 8: Look at visitation trends during the event compared to the same time frame in the previous four weeks, including increases and decreases to visitation to regions.
