October 4, 2024 Release Notes

Streamlining and enhancing your ZDOS® experience

Summary of key changes:

As we continue to simplify your ZDOS® experience, we have:

Sunsetted datasets & modules. As of October 4th, we have removed the Bureau of Labor Statistics data (previously available only through the Analytic Designer) for all clients.
  • Affecting a very limited number of clients, these additional datasets and modules have also been sunsetted.
      • Datasets: BLS, All the Rooms, Transparent, Matomo (for NJ only), Google Analytics (old)
      • Modules: Z-Universal Analytics, Foundations: Economic Opportunity, Foundations: Distribution Visitor, Foundations: Demand Generation
Renamed the Website Contribution module to Website Attribution.
  • Updated the name of the module to more closely align with the intended use of the insights. Future updates to change from WebCon on the insight titles and copy will be forthcoming.
Added a County Filter to Strategic Planning module.
  • Multi-county clients can now isolate specific counties within their destination to develop campaigns and personalized strategies based on individual county insights.
Updated the Definition of Average Stay Value in the Lodging Premium Module.
  • Within Zartico's lodging data, Average Stay Value is calculated by dividing the total revenue by the number of check-ins.
Added % Local Spend (no accommodations) KPI to Top of Visitor Snapshot.
  • In order to provide quality insights to our clients we have replaced the Avg. Visitor Spend from the Visitor Snapshot module with % of Local Spend (same metric that is utilized within the Quality Visit Index).
  • This new KPI highlights the portion of visitor spending to local merchants, filtering out merchants such as fast food, grocery chains, and big box stores. Share with stakeholders to point to the ways visitors support local businesses.
