Avoid Gaps in Your Data – Set Up Your Google Analytics With GA4

Take a few steps now to prepare your Google Analytics to provide the data you will need later.

As you may be aware, Google Analytics is sunsetting the current offering of Universal Analytics and asking all accounts to switch over to Google Analytics 4.

Your data from Google Analytics is crucial to the insights you can gain from the Zartico Destination Operating System. Because of this, we want to remind you to set this up while still keeping your UA version.

When your team set up your GA4 tag, Google gave you the option to store either 2 or 14 months of your data. Check out this article for more information. Regardless of when you set up GA4, or if you even remember what you selected, your data retention option will determine the historical data that initially loads into ZDOS™️. If you selected two months, then you will only see data for the two months before the data load date. However, once loaded into ZDOS™️, your historical data will remain even after it rolls off your GA4 platform as your data is always backed up with Zartico.

Here’s information from Google on understanding GA4how to set up GA4, and more information on how GA4 will differ from Universal Analytics. Make sure you have this setup taken care of or have communicated with anyone who assists you with your website.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, so that we can use your data in the ZDOS® to provide the clearest view of the visitor economy.
