How final are my POIs?

Determining your POIs is a crucial part of being able to leverage your data effectively in the ZDOS™. Learn about the finalization of your list of POIs and what happens if you need to change it.

When do I finalize my POIs?

As you begin your account with Zartico, one of the first parts of setting up your system will be to learn about Zartico's Place-Based Strategy and determine your POIs (or places of impact / points of interest).

When are my POIs visible in the ZDOS™?

During your implementation process, your account is being set up in a "trial run" manner so that you can take a look at your data and make any changes needed. During implementation you can check how it's looking and work with your implementation specialist to tailor your POI list to exactly what you want to see.

Reviewing your POIs

You will get a map of your POIs to review, and you will also get to see how the POIs show up in your geolocation data. You may need help navigating your interactive map to understand how to read it.

How will I finalize my POIs?

After reviewing your POIs and having any needed conversations about adjustments, you will need to sign off on the list so that the data can be fully loaded as you move into next steps. Along with reviewing POI themselves, take care to review POI categorization as well.

A signoff sets your POIs in place.

Once your implementation process is complete, you are fully launched and all your, making changes take much longer. For this reason, review your map very carefully to make sure that before you sign off on it, any changes are provided. Your sign-off on the map "locks" it in as final, barring annual updates and extreme circumstances.

How do change my custom regions and/or POIs after the implementation process?

Unfortunately, changing a POI is not as easy as it sounds. Anytime we need to alter your map, including your custom regions and POIs, we have to reload all of your geolocation data. It’s a large undertaking so we provide geolocation map enhancements once during a partner’s contract year. When we undergo this process, we highly recommend that you do an audit of all POIs to ensure we make all necessary changes at once. This process is kicked off by our team on your behalf. You will be provided, via email, your existing map that shows your destination’s boundary, custom regions and primary POIs as well as a list of all current primary and contextual POIs with their associated POI category. Once we receive your feedback, you’ll be provided with an updated map for your review and approval.

Setting up your POIs is just one step of your process and we are here to help. Reach out to your implementation team or contact support if you have further questions!
