July 21, 2023 Release Notes

What is your favorite color? Even if it's blue, we think you will enjoy these changes to the ZDOS to make it easier to use while you find your data!

We've been hard at work taking the ZDOS up a level by making some slight visual adjustments you'll notice in this latest release. You'll notice a lot less blue!

New UI changes to make the ZDOS easier to navigate (all modules stay the same they just look different) πŸ‘€

Here are some of the changes you will notice...
  • Less Blue, More Clarity: We've refined the appearance, reducing excessive blue to concentrate your focus on the data insights.
  • Updated Text for Accessibility: You may notice a brand new font, as well as a change in the text color that appears in charts.
  • Same Familiar Organization: Don't worry! Module titles and chart arrangements remain unchanged. You'll find everything exactly where you expect it to be.
  • Influenced by Your Feedback: Your feedback matters! These updates have been shaped by your valuable insights. Thank you for being an essential part of this process.

Permanent removal of seasonal insights β„οΈπŸŒ·β˜€οΈπŸ‚

In various places in your ZDOS you may have noticed charts that break out your data by season, allowing to see percentages by season of your visitors for the year. Those insights have been removed in order to maintain accuracy in your data.

This is due to the volatility of device counts and app usage from one season to another when it comes to volume. As our raw data source is constantly updated with new app sources we have noticed it creates constraints about comparing seasons by volume.

Still wanting to understand your data by season? No problem. You can use the date filter at the top to select for the months of the seasons you want to see, and compare the data to a different season. Our users report that having the same module open filtered for different timeframes in two tabs or side-by-side windows open is a great hack to look at these sorts of comparisons!

Facebook Ads Filter Removed πŸ–±βŒ

The filtering on the Facebook Ads section of all Social Media modules has been removed. Previously certain KPIs/Insights were filtered to only show campaigns with an objective of link clicks. This caused some confusion because it would appear to not be working if you did not run any campaigns with that specific objective of link clicks, and not every campaign has that objective!

Easing the GA4 transition πŸ•ΈοΈπŸ“Š

More insights in Marketing: Planning being tied to UA (this will be helpful for filtering by DMA)

Bug fixes 🐞

Our Edit button fixed - A recent bug caused the "edit" button to be unresponsive, so this has been corrected, making it possible again for those with the appropriate permissions to edit modules.
